The New Normal: China, Art, and 2017, 10am-7pm, RMB50-60

Works from 23 artists and groups from China and beyond are included in “The New Normal: China, Art, and 2017” exhibition at the Ullens Center for Contemporary Art (UCCA). These brave artists express their views on China’s current situation and the unpredictability of its future, using art as their medium. Mama Rainbow, 1:30-3pm, Free

Fan Popo, filmmaker and LGBT activist based in Beijing, is well know for winning a lawsuit against the government after his film Mama Rainbow was taken down from the internet. He will be hosted at the Columbia Global Center to talk about his works and his struggles. Get inspired and delve deeper into the work of a filmmaker exposing a hidden side of society. Wednesday’s Paddy O’Quiz, 8:30-11:55pm, Free

Puppetry Show at Modernista, 9pm, RMB50

That’s right Modernista will have a Chinese shadow puppetry show, it’s not always about jazz and swing over there. This fine art combines puppetry, dance, theatre and music all-in-one. Pour Les Dame,  5:30pm

Bistro B has something for everyone, but on Thursdays its Pour Les Dame invites ladies (groups of four or more) to meet up and catch up.
