Find of the Week: Pak Pak's Sweet Temptation

Deliver us not from the chocolate decadence of Pak Pak's dessert

Wait, wait: Is this chocolate mousse spicy? It’s time to head over and check out what’s cookin’ in the Pak Pak kitchen. Though this Beijing stalwart has been bringing us healthy, delicious Thai food and creative cocktail concoctions for years, there’s also something pretty amazing among their desserts. Pak Pak’s Coco Cici (¥32) is a rich chocolate mousse with a hint of spicy chili peppers topped with whipped cream and a slice of caramelized banana, conspiring to provide a truly decadent conculsion to your meal.

If you’re feeling the urge to treat yourself to a little extra indulgence, be sure to opt for the homemade coconut ice cream (¥10) on the side. That cold little palate cleanser gets your mouth ready for another explosion of chocolate flavor. This much sugar can overload the mightiest constitutions so, unless you have a super sweet tooth, the Coco Cici is enough for two to share.
