When you enter Indigo from Jiuxianqiao Lu, it just feels like a mall. It may be an exceptional mall, with beautiful rounded walkways and skylights that keep it light and airy, but it’s a mall nontheless.
What sets Indigo apart is the atrium at its opposite side, with its 30-meter-tall waved ceiling that reminds us of the spectacular airport structure. It lights up the place during the day and, when it’s completed, will look out over the beautiful Winter Garden. All the quality restaurants you love in Sanlitun have been replicated here, with indoor and outdoor terraces alike.
But as for shopping, Indigo has it all. There’s lots yet to open, but already it’s got all the main players: Gap, H&M, Watsons and Sephora, to name a few. The addition of Beijing’s second Page One outlet, as well as grocery giant BHG, make Indigo an easy choice for Lido shoppers. For the rest of us, shuttle buses run hourly on weekends and holidays.
