When people talk about ET Climbing Club one thing keeps coming up - attention to safety. We’ve heard a few horror stories about rock-climbing gone wrong in Beijing (after all, it’s still a relatively new sport in China). Our experience at ET Climbing was nothing short of perfection. The team was professional; upon our first visit they insisted on a tour and full explanation of their equipment and facilities. Better safe than sorry.
The ET Climbing team was not only enthusiastic about athletics, they’re all rock climbers themselves who are ready to share their passion and their years of experience with us newbies. After giving us the basics of how to properly use their equipment, we were off to challenge ourselves with various levels of difficulties.
Rock climbing isn’t like a regular gym workout. You use a combination of balance and muscles that you normally don’t use. When was the last time you worked out your finger muscles? Climbing is soothing and relatively easy for any beginner to pick up. The sense of accomplishment you feel when you reach the top, then fighting your natural instants for survival and flinging yourself off the wall, is an amazing and liberating feeling.
ET Climbing offers memberships, as well as single time, passes for ¥150. No time restriction, no strings attached (metaphorically speaking), just a day of pure rock climbing fun. With members ranging from ages 4 - 80 years old, it’s pretty accurate to say that under the right guidance, rock climbing is for everyone. To try out ET Climbing for yourself, add them on WeChat.
