Spread the Love (and the Cash) with Chi Fan for Charity

They're taking applications now for the 2017 charities

We love Beijing for the gluttonous glory of its dining scene—for almost any cuisine, you can find exquisite examples of your favorites. Even better, though, when we can put all that eating to a great purpose. Enter: Chi Fan for Charity

This annual celebration sees your friends and other prominent Beijingers hosting tables of 10 at the capital's finest dining destinations. For their ¥500-1,500 tickets, diners enjoy exquisite meals and a fabulous afterparty that brings together the capital’s community luminaries. It's the dining event of the city, every November.

Last year, Starfish Project and Dandelion School split the impressive RMB400,000 total. They can’t apply again until 2018, so now it’s time for new charities to take center stage.

Share the love with charities you know: Pass along this Chi Fan for Charity Request for Proposal (PDF), so they can apply to be one of this year’s beneficiaries. All registered charities at least 2 years old are eligible, and the money can support a new program or existing services that help disadvantaged populations in China. Extra points if there’s a Beijing focus to the work.

Hurry, though—the next Chi Fan for Charity might not be until Saturday, November 4, but the deadline for proposals is Friday, July 14

So spread the word and get ready for some philanthropic feasting!
