On the Rise
Located at the intersection of the Airport Expressway and the Third Ring Road, Sanyuanqiao has certainly earned its place as one of the city’s top commercial centers. Though less glamorous than its CBD and Wangfujing counterparts, Sanyuanqiao is a sensible alternative for those looking to remain near the city center without having to sacrifice their hard-earned savings. Recent months, however, have witnessed a new class of flashier residences cropping up, such as 40 Degrees North Latitude in neighboring Wangjing, and the region will soon be welcoming the addition of the new United States Embassy within the Third Embassy Area. Factor in the up-and-coming subway links, and it shouldn’t take a psychic to realize that Sanyuanqiao is well on its way to joining its counterparts in the high-end real estate market. If you ask us, the time to start investing is now.

International Chevalier Apartment 裘马都
Sitting right on the Airport Expressway and a mere 10-minute walk from the Sanyuanqiao Station on Metro Line 10, Chevalier’s easy accessibility is one of its largest selling points. Opened in January 2007, all units measure over 200 sq meters in size and are highlighted by the “palace,” a 600 sq meter apartment complete with a 360-degree view of the surrounding neighborhood. Additional selling points include 24-hour hotel benefits like butler services, catering, babysitting and anything else you can imagine. Of course, having a Microsoft office and four golf clubs in the vicinity doesn’t hurt either. Price to buy is ¥18,000-20,000/sq meter.
Address: North of Sanyuanqiao overpass, west of Chevalier Reception Center on Jinshun Lu 三元桥北-京顺路西侧

Where You Live: Phoenix City
Charlie Thomson, Vice President of Quick Ltd.
Sanyuanqiao is a great place to live. You get many expat amenities and homey restaurants like La Fattoria in Phoenix City. Beijing Okhotsk Beer, also in Phoenix, is a great brewhouse with weekly specials. There are also lots of local options for food and entertainment, especially the small restaurants west of Sanyuan Xiqiao. A favorite of mine is Bailuyuan. They make their own Shaanxi noodles every day in the afternoon. It’s on Jinganzhuang, right across from Carrefour. Every week, we also go to the local food market on the south side of Shunyuanjie. It has much of the same produce as Carrefour, but at a cheaper price. Once in a while the China International Exhibition Center has interesting trade shows, most of which are open to the public. We love living here and it should be getting better with two new subway lines opening soon!

Ping An International Financial Center
Conveniently situated near the northwest corner of Yansha Bridge on East Third Ring Road, Ping An International Financial Center is a towering structure on the urban skyline. Offering panoramic views of Liangma River and the bustling CBD to the south, the 100-meter-high complex is comprised of two, L-shaped Grade-A intelligent office buildings, a geometric shopping center and a Westin Hotel. A stunning combination of modern and dynamic architectural designs, the center manages to achieve maximum efficiency and flexibility via spacious office areas, over 2.8 meter-high ceilings and duplex floor plans (available on odd-numbered floors within Tower A ). Meanwhile, specially imported high-speed Hitachi elevators help to provide temporary relief with scenic views of the city below and, for those looking for a slightly longer respite, the public rooftop garden located on top of the shopping center also serves as an ideal place to get away. Combined with easy transportation links via the nearby Airport Expressway and a direct link to the subway Line 10, it's no wonder that this business center should serve as the office space of choice for many international businesses.
Address: Northwest corner of Yansha Bridge 燕莎桥西北角.
