Our Fashionista Awards went down last Saturday night at R Lounge, with great music, fruity drinks and fabulous people. We ended up crowning six winners in a surprise twist and gave away loads of free stuff for party-goers. We totally dug the creative and outrageous threads we spotted that night—check out our photo gallery of the awards night.

A largely ceremonial position. Our audience actually did the real work of voting!

Our panel of judges (from right): Bridget, our 2010 Fashionista Winner; Gabriel, our very first magazine Fashionista; and Erica Chen, City Weekend’s most fashionable editor (for real).

This year’s Fashionista line-up.

Our Winners

Any man would be proud to stand beside you, Rich!

We had more fabulous men on the runway this year. Cool, yet slightly bashful Rich Akers ended up nabbing the sparkly tiara.

We are totally not surprised that beautiful Rose won our women’s division. She had the sashay down!

Adorable has a new face

We only had two duos this year and competition was fierce. Because how could you not vote for this adorable mother and daughter duo?

Model exercises

Only when the quirky heyrobics guys are around…

We decided to give them both awards—because we love the warm fuzzy feeling you get when everyone wins (…and yes, no one loses).
