Give it all over to nearby Tianjin, who calls those lanes "Bus Zhuanyong" lanes — where the Zhuanyong moniker is a direct pinyinization from the Chinese characters "专用" (reserved lane)...
Well, the Jing will have nine more "BUS ZHUANYONG" lanes. (Heh... we love the Zhongguolish / Chinglish...) We will be seeing a new bus lane on Yaojiayuan Road, which links the eastern 4th Ring Road at Chaoyanggongyuan Bridge to the 2nd Airport Freeway.
We're also seeing new bus lanes on the extended Chang'an Avenue — they're now going as far out west as the western 5th Ring Road. If you're in Zhongguancun, you're also seeing one on Zhongguancun East Road north of the 3rd Ring Road, and there's another one on the Eastern 3rd Ring Road (main road!) between Jinsong Bridge and Shuangjing Bridge. (Subway folks take note: there's Line 10 underneath!) Finally, bus lanes are also reality for parts of Nanmofang, Chengshousi Roads and Taipingzhuang Middle Street (up there "high up north" in Tiantongyuan).
These lanes are in use from 07:00 through 09:00 and again from 17:00 through 19:00. If you're caught on these lanes, you're CNY 200 poorer...
