Is The Gobi Coming To Town?

Scary scary as we reveal the Wanbao's forecast for tomorrow: lots of cloud, Beaufort Force 7 winds, but still pretty warm at 4°C to 9°C. Oh yeah, and also a fair bit of sand... so bad that the authorities issued a blue alert for this. (Blue? That'll also be the colour of the skies after we're done with this one heck of a — windy ordeal...)

Other thingamajigs tonight as we are on about the evening news...

• 13 Subway stops, including (most noticeably) the Airport Express station at Terminal 3, will become places where you can drop off a Beijing Yikatong or Super Pass. That's if you've ever had enough of getting ready for your arrival on the Beijing Subway. Ever... You will need your initial receipts if you want money back — and they can only give back a maximum of CNY 100. (Try the service centre near Xidan for any amount bigger than that.)

• Apparently the lawyers are OK with McDonald's sticking in ice cubes in Cokes. This Mr Liu wasn't happy after his stomach underwent the equivalent of a kernel panic — he sued McDonald's for CNY 505 (the CNY 5 Coke no less). Ahh, Chimerica... are we also going to learn like "the States", where lawsuits are common?
