Public Beta: Subway Line 4 Announcements

Someone on the Great Big Internet Out There spilt the beans — on the as-yet "State Secret"-ish Subway Line 4 announcements. We've had a listen — and we bloody like it.

Bloody — because that's a sorta-strictly British English term. And that's precisely what it is — Received Pronunciation glory. New Yawk, back down, y'all...

Line 4 announcements are remarkably short — and may even appear a tad terse. They simply come in the form of: "Next station: _ _ _ _ _ _ _." That's it.

If there's an interchange on hand, they'll add: "Interchange station with Line _ _ _ (and Line _ _ _ )". Xizhimen, for example, would be "Interchange station with Line 2 and Line 13".

Finally, if doors open on the wrong sides, they'll announce that. There's a single announcement on Line 4 — only the northernmost terminus as Anheqiao North has doors opening on the right.

So it's another FTW day — Line 4 brief announcements FTW. As they say in German: "In der Kürze liegt die Würze!"
