Subway Line 6: This Doesn't Add Up Right

I've been taking a look at the figures and facts (as well as bit of factual fiction, actually) at Chinese stats for the new Subway Line 6. Ladies and gentlemen, some bits don't add up right:

• First, out of the 20 stations from Wulu through to Caofang, none of these planned link up with the current Mozart Line, or Line 5. Look at the stations inside the 2nd Ring Road: Fuchengmen, Baitasi, Xisi, Beihai Park, Longfusi, and Chaoyangmen. Nowhere at all do you see a reference to Dongsi station. (And they changed the whole thing so that it doesn't run under Ping'an Boulevard anymore. Very odd.)

• Second, we're getting two articles just outright bumping into each other. An article from the Beijing Times states that Line 6 will be able to link up with 13 subways with 15 stops. It works -- remember Lines 2 and 10 are circular -- but the Beijing Daily Messenger states that it'll only have 8 interchange stations.

I've never done calculus, and I have no plans to be a mathematician, but somehow, this whole thing just seems real out of whack...

A map would really help get things sorted out here. Got any high quality future Beijing subway maps floating around anywhere?

You know what - I'm in the biz of doing one actually. A LOT better than those ones you find at a station. Thing is -- hard to get started, too many to start off with!
