Wanbao! Wanbao! Apr 6, 2008: Enjoy That Springtime
A quickie Sunday edition of Wanbao! Wanbao!, now just 124 days before the Olympics...
• Big pic: people taking their time on a Sunday -- spending it all outdoors. Cars, people, the riverside -- although it did rain a tad earlier in the day.
• 80% of people have no idea that mobile phones are "bad" for you -- that's what the latest stats have it. Also, 60% have no idea that they have the right to clean air. We need to do better!
• The weather for next week: raindrops on the 8th and probably the 10th, otherwise a mix of clouds and sun, with more sun on the 9th and 12th. Temps between 22°C and 5°C.
• Beijing-Tianjin and Shanghai-Nanjing trains are chock full of people taking the extended weekend off. Meanwhile, the airport and freeways heading back to Beijing are also under a fair bit of pressure.
• Finally, Beijing's doing some serious soul-searching, or just plain-vanilla searching -- of fake brakes. Apparently, 90,000 accidents are caused every year just because the brakes went bad.
Summer-ish temps tomorrow at 24°C (tonight we'll get 9°C), with great sunshine expected. Have a great start to the new week!

Rain coming later in the day. The forecast came from like 11 AM last day. Someone must have taken their "optimistic tablets", the way my chemistry teacher would say... ;-)
