Your Beijingologist Is Now Finally Back Again

Long story short, in story form: Someone got to sneak a look at your Beijingologist's Beijing Subway Guide (coming out either later this year or very early 2010). That "someone" was from a publishing press that wanted to get an all-Chinese language Subway book out "pretty soon".

Phone rings:

Someone (S): You got time?
Beijingologist (B): Yeap? What's the thing?
S: We're thinking of doing an all-Chinese Subway book and we wondered if you could write that for us.
B: Uh. Yeah?
S: OK, we'll also pay you Renminbi (fairly good sum).
B: Okkie.
S: Cool, do a sample article, and send it in by (pretty tight deadline).
S: Let's do that.

Your Beijingologist is pleased to report that the book ordeal (at least from "that" publishing press) is finally over. What a way to restart. Next up: a little Subway update as usual. Sorry for the month-long draught...
