A mix of East meets West and function meets fashion, Stephanie is a born Beijingren who, after years abroad, came back to the city of her youth as a young lady of style. But don’t expect her to be hiking the Great Wall in heels. “My style is, first and foremost, circumstance-appropriate,” she says, “I don’t suffer for fashion.” That said, she certainly knows how to strike the perfect balance of sexy, edgy, trendy and elegant. Her clothing journey started in the mid-’80s when her grandma would design different patterned garments for Stephanie to wear, which were drastically different from the ubiquitous blue gray Mao suits standard at that time. Honing this passion for style, Stephanie went on to study in Europe and obtained a master’s degree in Fashion Marketing in Florence, Italy. Here we see the culmination of her years in the industry as she models a stunning crimson red Marni dress and shoes from China World. Ever the conscientious dresser, Stephanie leaves us with some parting advice for dressing during the cooler months. “Fall in Beijing is still a great time to wear a dress even when it gets chilly—simply drape on a shawl or scarf. This is an easy way to look dressed up for events while still being trendy, elegant and highly functional." We’re not sure how much longer a shoulder wrap will be enough to keep Stephanie warm in her dresses, but we are quite positive she could wear a full-body ski suit and still look runway ready.
