Straight from Germany, cyclist Holger Venino makes the last stop of the Eurasia leg of his “Bike for Charity” trip in Beijing this Friday, November 12. Since he set out in March, Venino has biked through many of the countries of the Silk Road, taking pictures and blogging along the way. Those interested in his journey can meet the man himself at a cocktail reception in his honor at the Hilton Hotel's Zeta Bar where he will also make a presentation about his journey.
Though Holger Venino returns to Germany after the weekend (presumably not by bike), his world tour will continue in December when he plans to bike through Patagonia. Venino has also blogged extensively about his trip; those literate in German (or comfortable with Google Translate) can check it out at: www.bikeproject2010.de.
