In a mixed couple: Are there any benefits are there to your baby having Chinese Citizenship / Beijing Hukou? What about HK citizenship in China?
I've heard that it may be more difficult for children to enter or participate in public schools if they don't have Chinese citizenship/Beijing Hukou. I've also heard that if the kid had HK citizenship it could potentially be better because the schoold system would treat the kid 'closer to Chinese' than if they had a completely different citizenship (i.e. American)
Anyone have any advice on this?
