There are plenty of choices for the avid theater-goer this weekend in Beijing!

One of Beijing's most interesting stage tourism is acrobatics. Many venues offer shows at least every weekend if not everyday. Here is a list of the most popular shows in town. The Legend of Kung Fu at the Red Theater of Worker's Cultural Palace, Chaoyang Theater Acrobatics, China Acrobatic Troupe at the Universal Theater, Splendid by China National Acrobatic Troupe at the Poly Theatre and Tianqiao Acrobatics. Other interesting Beijing traditional entertainment includes Old Beijing Folk Art Performances at Dongcheng Cultural Center and Peking Variety Show at Dayabao Hutong.

For Western style entertainment you can't get any closer to Broadway in Beijing than with the touring company of the musical Hairspray at Beijing Exhibition Center Theater near Xizhimen. Catch a taste of the famous, or infamous, Irish group Riverdance at the National Center for the Performing Arts.

If Peking Opera is your style, you can see a show every weekend at Chang He Yuan and this Sunday is your last chance to catch The Monkey King at Huguang Guild Hall.
