We haven't put out full page ads for it, but for the last three years we've been begging our boss man about redesigning CW to have the local city guides on the outside and the national edition on the inside. In 2008, we finally get our wish. (You probably don't even know what that means, hence why we're dying to change. Suffice to say, the outside portion of the current CW will become the inside portion and vice versa.) Look out for it in first half of January. We're beat too. It's freaking hard redesigning a magazine. What can you expect with the 2008 redesign? Rule #1: All listings have descriptions. Only the best listings get in the magazine. Rule #2: More one-off events arranged in more easy-to-navigate ways. For example, sporting events are by category and travel packages are by destination. Rule #3: Give recommendations galore. With everyone sharing info. on the site, CW knows a ton about Beijing. We should help. Rule #4: Inject some more personality and fun features into the magazine - we're not just a creative phone book.
CW Site
The site is moving along too. Have we told you about our mobile phone service yet? Or what about the freakishly interesting blog, Beijingology? Or the new city feed? Awesome. Stay tuned for more helpful features.
