EPL is Back

Get out your vevuzelas and join the excitement! Scratch that. Don’t bring the vevuzelas. Didn’t you notice the angry glares last time? It’s settled. Join in the excitement sans vevuzela. After an offseason devoid of big-name transfers many of the big clubs are dancing with who they brought-ed. And unless you are talking about Blackpool FC (they bad) it’s looking like the middle and lower table will be hard to predict.

The games kick off tonight at 07:00PM with Tottenham Hotspur taking on Man City and Liverpool plays Arsenal Sunday night at 10:30PM.Check the supersports schedule further below for all the EPL matches as well as some UEFA Champions League Playoff games that will happen throughout the week.

I would suggest Paddy O’Shea’s, The Den, and Goose & Duck because they have the best crowds and I can always strike up a conversation with enthusiastic if not knowledgeable fans.

Liverpool Sale

From the reports coming out now it looks like Kenny Huang wasn’t ever in formal negotiations to buy Liverpool directly. Most of us had our doubts about the legitimacy of the leak that CIC was to be involved, but now it looks like it’s all been a lie that has stoked the media fire in England

Barcelona

Barcelona is a team so deep that you can forget that it has Zlatan Ibrahimovic on it and he’s not exactly a slouch. Also, Messi nearly tripled his playing time from the Korea game. Real considerate of him and Barcelona. Thanks for the face. Barcelona’s coach Pep Guardiola: “I hope on our next visit, this world class stadium has a better pitch. World class performances need world class pitches.”

Yeah… Blame it on the grass… (This statement is not NOT and indictment of the grass. I’m sure it was awful.)
