Beijing Weekender :: Breakfast for Barack | Hotpot #8 rocks Song | Hanggai transcends at MAO

FRIDAY
Politicos join together to watch Obama's acceptance speech for the Dem nomination at the Bridge Café’s Barack Breakfast. Johnny Walker, F1 and Klubb Rouge join forces to celebrate the glory of booze, racing and dance music at the F1 Terminal Velocity Party. It’s good to be Bad when heavy metal maestros Bad Mamasan are rockin’ Yugong Yishan. And, mad techno scientist DJ Dio throw whatever he wants to on his own night at White Rabbit.

SATURDAY
Song's dance floor spices it up again with another edition of Hotpot, featuring China's three-time DMC champ DJ Wordy, Japan's DJ Shougo and New York City's DJ Lomang at Song. Beijing’s vampires, Goths and fetishists put on their best black lipstick and groove to the dark soundwaves of DJ BB and Mr. ED at The Boat’s Death Disco. And, Beijing’s hip-hoppers join together for Yugong Yishan’s monthly night of bootie-shakin’ hip-hop, Section 6.

SUNDAY
Beijing Hikers go for a Walk Down to Vulture Rock Park. It's another Queer Sunday at The Boat. And Hanggai sings revelrous throat songs that Pitchfork calls "transcendently powerful" at MAO Live House.
