Tonight is Bling's biggest party of the month: a wild, all-night, '70s-themed rager tastefully titled "Pimp My Club." We talked to Bling's Head Pimp, David Kim (pictured right), about the bash. We've heard rumors that Bling will be pimped out with an LED dancefloor, models and hot retro girls on rollers skates, but David kept his cards to his chest, insisting we come see the madness for ourselves.

What does the event name Pimp My Club mean exactly?
Pimping our club is like going over the top, doing it big. Bling already is a classy club, but we’re going up and beyond that in extravagance. Everyone’s going to say, “Oh my God! What the –beep-?” when they walk in.

The invitation asks that all revelers dress as “pimps and honeys.” How’d you decide on the “pimps and honeys” theme and what should I wear to be a pimp?
Everyone wants to be a pimp and everyone wants to be a honey. Pimp’s definition has changed since the ‘70s, when it was a derogatory term. Nowadays, it has two meanings, the literal since, but also to describe someone who is hip and trendy and who knows what’s going on. And a honey is someone who’s with a pimp. I’m not being chauvinistic, but girls want to be with someone who has style and class … like a pimp.

What DJs will be pimping out on the decks tonight?
DJ Keza will be spinning, but not just his usual hip-hop mix, there’ll be a lot of ‘70s funk mashups thrown in there.

You’re kind of the pimp of Bling. What do you do at Bling exactly?
Well, I’ve been at Bling since before Bling’s opening. I’m the PR Marketing Manager of All Star Sports Bar and Grill, as well as Bling. I flew in the month before August. I’m not sure if I consider myself a pimp … I do know a lot of girls. It comes with the business I’m in. I’m definitely enjoying it.

What surprises can we expect tonight?
A ton of hot honeys. And basically the funkiest party of 2008.

I heard there’s an LED dancefloor being installed tonight. Is that true?
Well, we are doing something special to pimp the club, but I’m going to save the surprises until tonight. See you there!
