This welcome addition to Workers Stadium’s nascent cocktail scene brings jazz and class to the fore—a true rarity in the heart of Beijing’s megaclub district.
The Box Lounge’s plush designer seating and tasteful, candle-lit décor make it an ideal location for soaking up live jazz while sipping signature cocktails. We suggest the “passion of France” (¥50), a smooth elixir of vanilla, fresh passion fruit and vodka. Mixed drinks are ¥40.
Designed by Sky, who also did d.lounge, The Box Lounge is the rare venue that is perfect for both an elegant date and for kicking back with a group of friends.

This place has serious management issues. I won a 300RMB drinks voucher for Box Lounge and subsequently invited some friends to come along and check it out. The drinks were decent, the decor tasteful and we were having a nice time, until we gave them the voucher and they told us it could only be used on weekends. Nowhere on the voucher did it say so. When we complained, it turned out that the manager had tried to use the 'weekends only' excuse as a proxy for her misguided presumption: that the woman who she had originally given the vouchers too, and who was among the friends that we invited, was simply using the vouchers for herself. But instead of bringing the issue up in private, in a respectful, open manner, she made up this bogus rule as a soft, indirect way of preventing a non-existent abuse. Neither I nor any of my friends in attendance plan on returning.
