In just a few moments, I'm headed off to the Westin Financial Street to check out their Balinese food promotion. They've brought in chefs from the Westin Resort Nusa Dua Bali, who will be creating a tropical buffet through next Wednesday, September 15.
Last night, I returned to Gala, a Cantonese restaurant that seriously doesn't get enough credit. The food is as close to American Chinese food (and I mean that in the best way possible) as I've had in China, and the location behind Gongti 100 is super convenient. Get the sweet and sour prawns and the stir-fried beef with Chinese fritters and water chestnut.
Tomorrow, I'm finally trying the contemporary Spanish food. at Migas. However, I've been there three times in the last 10 days for the awesome rooftop and mojitos made with fresh fruit. While the weather's still nice, this is an ideal new Sanlitun nightspot.
