Find of the Week: Greek Delicacy Is the Athens of the Liangmahe

Crouched in a back corner of Solana’s basement, Greek Delicacy doesn’t seem, on first sight, to be an Athens on the Liangmahe. But any doubts dissolved on first brush with the food. We absolutely loved the kebab with yogurt (¥56), a filling platter loaded with plump kebabs swimming in a vibrant kokkinisto (tomato) sauce and homemade yogurt. The rest of the menu’s no slouch either. Hot pita bread (¥6) fresh from the open kitchen cooled off nicely in a bowl of smooth tzatziki (¥25), a cucumber, yogurt and garlic dip garnished generously with olive oil. Grilled feta cheese (¥32) proved a treat, its mild flavor set off against the bed of finely diced grilled peppers. Finish with yogurt with honey and walnuts (¥32). This Mediterranean treat surprises with its dexterity, the foreground tastes of cinnamon and honey giving way to a background of creamy homemade yogurt.
