This three-day international rock fest with over 200 acts on 10 stages is touted as an Asian Woodstock and will be at the Naeba Ski Resort. Last year saw The Strokes, Red Hot Chili Peppers and The String Cheese Incident. Early bird tickets go on sale mid-February. www.fujirockfestival.com

Summer Sonic, Japan

August 2007

A two-day summer festival held at Tokyo's nearby Chiba Marina Stadium. Past draws have been Massive Attack, Beck, Primal Scream, Tool, Metallica, The Deftones and goth-favorite Marilyn Manson. www.summersonic.com
