Explain Your Art!: Charlotte Guibe

“In 2005, I arrived in China. The blue, white and red striped tarp was a reassuring signal for three French girls lost in the ‘empire of signs.’ This plastic layer draws a mad linear perspective. Now it's the facade of the Perif Gallery. The striped pattern invites the passer-by to see my paintings and videos linked to these experiences, memories and exchanges that happened on this set.” See more of Guibe’s work on display at Gallery Perif until July 7.
