Guiness Genius
In just over a month since opening, Paddy O’Shea’s, has become a phenomenon. On any evening of the week, this Irish pub is brimming with rosy cheeked professionals eager to enjoy pints of Guiness (¥50) while cheering on their home teams, racing to and fro on four plasma screens. The barkeeps, dressed in tailored black silk uniforms with stitched Irish flags know how to keep the Kilkenny (¥50) and Carlsberg (¥25) flowing. O’Shea’s offers a range of quality whiskeys as well, including Jameson (¥35) and Glenfiddich 18 years (Y50). Greasy fries (¥20), make for a perfect post-work snack during the 30 percent off happy hour (daily, 3pm-7pm). On weekends, owner Glenn Phelan opens the upstairs disco, to accommodate the crowd, which grows larger each week.
