1 Crayola Activity Center
Head to the newly opened Crayola Activity Center in Wangfujing and let your children loose in the 2,400 square meter indoor play space. Between the mini-mall packed with name brand toys, the Harry Potter shop, and the English, music, art and theater lessons, there’s sure to be something for everyone aged 14 and under!
2 Beijing Aquarium
There’s nothing fishy about the Beijing Aquarium, a first-rate and truly massive facility located next to the zoo and perfect for future marine biologists. The special Amazon rainforest, coral reef, and shark exhibits will introduce children to the wonders of aquatic life, and the touch pools, underwater tunnels and daily dolphin and sea lion shows guarantee they’ll be hooked.
3 Le Cool
Reward your kids for accompanying you on a shopping trip by taking them to Le Cool, Beijing’s largest indoor skating rink, located conveniently on the ground floor of the China World Tower mall. ¥30-¥40 for one and a half hours includes skate rental, proving that you don’t need to break the bank to enjoy Le Cool.
4 Beijing Science and Technology Museum
This museum is designed to wow underage audiences with its fun and informative displays and interactive exhibits. Kids can see a real spaceship in the Air and Space section, touch a Van de Graaf generator to make their hair stand on end in the electricity exhibit and even watch robots play basketball and practice kung fu (all with plenty of English signage).
5 Fundazzle
Give hyperactive kids ages three to ten a place to burn off energy by bringing them to Fundazzle, a mammoth indoor playground with slides, a climbing wall, a two-story jungle gym, trampolines and a ball pool. Fundazzle also has an area just for toddlers and there are a variety of special activities on weekends. With locations at Gongti and the Science and Technology Museum.
