1 Acupuncture Records Genesis 2008

Acupuncture Records, with a whirlwind six months of minimal tech parties, has swiftly made its mark on Beijing. They’re looking to make 2008 the year for Acupuncture by celebrating the brand-spanking new year in the Bauhaus-style 4000 square meter gallery of 798 Originality Industry Garden. Acupuncture’s top-shelf DJ talents, from Huang Weiwei to Terry Tu, throw down an aural banquet of techno and house music while VJs complete the sensory overload.

2 Yen Countdown

The 02 Culture Yen crew’s Countdown Party has easily won its reputation as Beijing’s wildest New Year’s bacchanal. Beijing DJ maestros Mickey Zhang, Dio, Flo Eysler and Patrick Yu throw down drum ‘n’ bass, house and techno. Be a part of the more than 2,008 people who will dance into 2008.

3 Centro New Year’s Eve Champagne Party

Beijing’s hottest “it” lounge brings in the new year like no one else can with live jazz, top-shelf champagne, the incredible cocktails and the beautiful people that have made Centro famous.

4 Re-TROS, Reflector and Subs at D-22

New Year’s doesn’t have to just be about dancing and coifing expensive champagne. Beijing’s premier post-punk bands, Re-TROS and Reflector, two of the top bands of the year, take to the stage with the mind-blowing energy of the Subs opening the only New Year’s gala for all of Beijing’s rockers.

5 Rickshaw New Year’s Throwdown

Rickshaw launches the New Year early (at 12 noon!) with hourly drink specials to bring in the New Year and enough booze and frolicking that you won't even remember 2007 by the time the ball drops.
