Beijing’s fashion scene is bursting at the seams. From Gulou's boho chic to Sanlitun's fun, flirty looks, here are the style musts of the capital’s coolest neighborhoods, just in time for fall. Budding fashionistas, take note. Bring a copy of our fall fashion issue to D-SATA for a 25 percent discount.

CBD Chic

Wheeling and dealing by day, at night the CBD morphs into the capital's epicenter of luxury and glamour. Soak in the last of summer's sultry nights at Shangri-la Kerry Center's Summer Lounge, or toast the coming fall with a flute of Champagne in the newly revamped Centro, and make sure you look good doing it. PATH's modern, asymmetrical cuts are perfect for the high-rolling playboy—all business with a hint of sexy pleasure, while local designer Lu Liu's stunning red dress and veiled hat by MeiLi Autumn are sure to turn heads.

Men’s jacket (¥2,500), shirt (¥1,200), pants (¥1,500) from PATH. Dress (¥2,688) from Luvon by Lu Liu (available from BNC, 6416-9045). Zebra feather hat (¥350) by MeiLi Autumn. Handbag (¥1,750), necklace and bracelet set (¥422) from D-SATA.

Hutong Hip

In a city that changes as fast as Beijing, Gulou is the rare place that celebrates the old. The vintage fashions on display on the area's hipper-than-thou are proof that fashion, too, can be timeless. The alleyway behind the gorgeous Xi Xian Zhai Teahouse, which borders on the Confucius Temple, is a hidden gem of a romantic picnic spot, and Rich is ready to woo in a funky ensemble from Mega Mega Vintage and red Nike hightops and hat from Begins. Bridgid's splashy and fun polka dot skirt, also from Mega Mega Vintage, works just as well for outdoor beer and chuan'r dates as it does for sweaty indoor concerts by the latest local indie band.

Shorts, men’s shirt, skirt, blouse, women’s hat from Mega Mega Vintage, (inquire for prices). Sneakers (¥799), men’s hat (¥990) from Begins.

Sanlitun Style

Beijing's stylish heart truly beats in Sanlitun, the place to see and be seen by the city's fashion fabulous. Young, fun and flirty looks are the order of the day at Nali Patio, with boutique shops like D-SATA on the ground floor and Samo on the third fuelling the fashion fire. Rich breaks trendy ground with slate-colored trousers and a unique button-up shirt from Beijing-based designer David Ubl, while Bridgid oozes Sanlitun chic in a Pig Balance dress from Samo, paired with accessories from D-SATA. With sensational gear like this, how can you not head up to Migas' stellar rooftop for a martini or two?

Men’s pants (¥2,000), shirt (¥1,200) by David Ubl. Dress (¥2,480) from Samo. Ring (¥250), necklace (¥595), clutch (sold out) from D-SATA.

Wild Wudaokou

It’s time for back-to-school shopping in the Wu. Get your semester off to a rowdy start with punk-inspired threads that'll make you the star of the show at Lush’s open mic nights (pictured) and set you apart from the masses at D-22. Last fall’s leather craze shows no signs of stopping in 2011, and Bridgid's rocking this fun red faux leather jacket, paired with peg-topped checkered trousers. Show your love the local way: with a set of matching T-shirts. It’s easy to look this good on a student budget—the clothes were all purchased at the Zoo Market.

T-shirt set (¥29), women’s pants (¥55), jacket (¥89) from Zoo Market.
