In a city that changes as fast as Beijing, Gulou is the rare place that celebrates the old. The vintage fashions on display on the area's hipper-than-thou are proof that fashion, too, can be timeless. The alleyway behind the gorgeous Xi Xian Zhai Teahouse, which borders on the Confucius Temple, is a hidden gem of a romantic picnic spot, and Rich is ready to woo in a funky ensemble from Mega Mega Vintage and red Nike hightops and hat from Begins. Beijing's stylish heart truly beats in Sanlitun, the place to see and be seen by the city's fashion fabulous. Young, fun and flirty looks are the order of the day at Nali Patio, with boutique shops like D-SATA on the ground floor and Samo on the third fuelling the fashion fire. It’s time for back-to-school shopping in the Wu.
