Kat, going on her fourth year in Beijing, frequents what she calls “private boutiques based out of people’s homes” which sell the latest designer pieces bought at sample sales in Hong Kong. She’s not giving away her secret contacts, she tells us these places operate strictly “by word of mouth.” Other Beijing shopping gems Kat adores include the Eyeglasses Market near Panjiayuan and the boutique shops in Nali Mall. For guy fashion finds, Dan uses his local tailor for business attire, Tailor Ma. He also finds cool threads at Zara.
