Friday nights at Jianghu Jiuba

On Friday nights, I like to head to a little bar near Jiaodaokou called Jianghu Jiuba to watch live music. Jianghu Jiuba is a great place that no one seems to know about. It’s really laid back, with all these big sofas everywhere. I really like going because it’s a nice small venue and everyone is really friendly. It feels pretty off the map. Every Friday night, they have some kind of live music. Usually it’s Chinese bands playing western music. My favorite is the reggae band that plays there sometimes … It’s the first time I ever saw a Chinese guy with dreads!
