Rickshaw is always reliable. It’s open 24 hours and offers solid drinks. Plus, if I have a problem with a drink, I can just take it behind the bar and make it myself. Q Bar has the best made cocktails in Beijing. The owners know what they are doing but aren’t pretentious about it. It’s a comfortable place, and the chocolate mousse, with one half spicy and the other half with thyme, is an orgasmic experience. Wain Wain is a piece of heaven where I can go to hide and relax. The Japanese bidet there has something that looks like Captain Kirk’s console on the side; it’s definitely one of the most interesting toilets in Beijing.
