decent place to party but the staff needs more training. Some of the prices don't make sense as it goes from affordable to just way overpriced but it's gotta be one of the most fun places to hang out in that side of Beijing. Pho is a little too inconstent for my taste: I've had it at times and it tasted like it was flown straight from vietnam, other times it tasted like a Mc Donald's take on pho. come on guys, a little consistency please

Nice food and good atmosphere. Service needs some improvements but as whole the runner's dedicated efforts must be recognized. We do need a lot more runners of this style and spirit to give more fresh elements and energy to the Beijing dining scene.

I went along for the Open Mic night. Which was a total blast. The house band played first and a few of them were happy to join those jumping up on stage (like me). Great vibe to the place, friendly staff and - due to the time of year - great mulled wine.

An absolute favourite. amazing burger, delicious pho and everything else on the menu also really tasty. nice quiet venue during the day to chill out but at night comes alive with music. They recently started hosting comedy nights too which has added to the atmosphere. would recommend this place to anyone visiting or living in Beijing

Heard about this place for awhile finally checked it out last night, mainly on strength of rumors of a real wood burning fireplace (true!). Pretty packed with foreigners. They serve Jing A beers. Dj kind of blew that night but overall good place. Will be back

Forget the food and go for the nightlife at 4 Corners, a moderately priced bar in Houhai with great beer. I enjoyed a 40RMB Vedett while I was there, although Tsingtao (which they were out of...a definite whoops) was only 15RMB. Rolling Bowling, a Beijing rock-a-billy band, played on the stage in the dining room, and provided for a fun, dynamic atmosphere for hanging but, after awhile, I escaped to the lounge for some peace. I've never tried the burgers, but I've heard the burger with a fried egg in the middle is the best. Definitely a must-visit.

Best Pho & Best Banh Mi in all of Beijing hands down. I tried them all. 78 for a large Pho might turn some people off but you get what you pay for, and if you care about quality and consistency then that's where the 78 RMB is going. Worth it everytime.

Of course, 4corners has the best pho and bun cha in China, but little did I expect they serve the best gourmet burgers of any gourmet burger place I've eaten at to-date. I love a good burger, but I usually prefer the simple, standard cheeseburger. In-N-Out is a favorite, and a good example. Gourmet burgers are usually poorly-made, too think to bite into or just a mess to begin with. The Nam Burger is fatter than your average burger, but not so much that I can't bite into it. The meat has a rich flavor, and the rest of the ingredients are also full of flavor. Hard to describe, but it's not a simple beef patty with a bunch of "fancy" stuff thrown in with it between its buns. The burger comes with sweet potato fries that are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside; perfect. The fries come with some kind of curry sauce, and together they are unexpectedly DELICIOUS. A small, but tasty salad rounds off the plate. I'm definitely coming back more often for this burger, as if the pho and bun cha weren't enough.
