Alberta Ballet, initially founded in Edmonton, completed a successful merger with Calgary City Ballet in 1990. Alberta Ballet relocated its headquarters to the historical Nat Christie Centre in Calgary while maintaining an administrative office in Edmonton.Now in our 41st season, they remain a dynamic cultural institution. Among Alberta arts organizations, they are unique in mounting our full season in two cities, Calgary and Edmonton. We also tour within the province, across the country, and around the globe. Alberta Ballet has gained international acclaim with productions like Jean Grand-Ma?tre's The Fiddle and The Drum, as well as Carmen, which will tour to China for a third time this year. Our organization comprises a company of 26 classically trained professional dancers.
