Between Paris and Beijing, Phénix Varbanov has been working on an art road for fifteen years with the art form such as painting, drawing, installation and photography. He is curious about everything and he does all kinds of experiments which take him out of the “limits”. He takes whatever fits with his thinking: the Chinese water-ink painting for example, and from western culture, the influences from Povera art, conceptional art, also the abstract art from the 1950’s, you can even find the taste of rock music in his works Phénix works in big cities and he always pays attention to the vibration of them, but his works always seem to try to take the visitors to quiet contemplation…
