Description -
The Beijing International Orchestra was founded on September 14, 2007 by the professional Russian violinist Maria Nauen and the German expatriate manager Stephan Brandel. The ensemble is located in the Sedan Chair House and consists of ambitious professional and amateur musicians from various countries such as Russia, Germany, Switzerland, Hungary, France, Canada, USA, China, Korea and Mongolia. The orchestra repertoire spans music from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Contemporary, including Chinese orchestra compositions and Salon Music as it was played in the first half of the 20th century in Europe.
