New Year Concert of "The Beijing International Orchestra“

The Beijing International Orchestra (BIO) is located in the Sedan Chair House, a courtyard in the Dongcheng District of Beijing nearby the street “Dongsi Beidajie”. The BIO is organized as a non-profit community by the German expatriate manager and amateur violinist Stephan Brandel.
The orchestra consists of professional and amateur musicians from various countries such as Germany, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Canada, USA, Indonesia, China. The repertoire spans orchestra and chamber music from the Baroque, Classic, Romantic and Contemporary, film music, Chinese compositions as well as salon music, as it was played in the first half of the 20th century in the famous European salons.
