We were awed by Wong Kar-wai's old Shanghai in his masterful "In the Mood for Love," and the Shanghai Ballet moves the scenes onto a ballet stage. Directed by Bertrand d'At, director of Ballet de l'Opéra national du Rhin, "In the Mood for Love" also incorporates the elaborate work of costume-stage designer Jerome Kaplan, who is known for designing the ballet "Raise the Red Lanterns". RMB50-380.
