Createdin 1959, the China Central Ballet Company is acknowledged to be one ofthe finest ballet companies in the world. Its strategy is to performclassical western ballet but at the same time incorporating into themChinese culture : "The Red Detachment of Women", "Wife and Concubine",and the great classical ballets like "Swan Lake", "Giselle"… Itsdirector, Zhao Ruhen, has opened up the troupe to French neo-classicalballets ("Carmen", "Pink Floyd"), and contemporary creations("Entrelacs") via an annual collaboration with the Paris National OperaBallet company.

1. Entrelacs Choreography by Kader Belarbi Thisprogram, created by the celebrated French choreographer Kader Belarbiwas created for the 2007 Croisement Festival. He produces pieces forChina Central Ballet company. A dancer etoile, awarded the Order ofNational Merit Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres, Kader Belarbi istoday one of the most famous choreographers in France.

2. Last Paradise Choreography by Roland Petit Music by Ye Xiaogang Roland Petit, creator of "Pas de deux" Born in 1924, Roland Petit was first a dancer with the Paris Opera ballet company before concentrating on choreography. He created numerous ballets and an international career opened up to him. Today, the choreographer is still showing off his creations as well as creating new pieces. Officer of Arts et des Lettres, he is also an Officer of the Legion d'honneur and Commandeur de l'ordre du Merite.

3. Sylvia, Third act IIIrd act of Sylvia, choreographed by Lycette Darsonval after Merante et Lifar Staged by Laurent Novis. Stage design and costumes by Philippe Binot Entrelacs, interpretation of the play by Kader Belarbi Pas de deux, world famous dance by Roland Petit Co-produced by the Central Ballet of China, the French Cultural Center With the support of CULTURESFRANCE, the Wandering Conservatory of Dance AIR FRANCE Laurent Novis choreographed the third act of "Sylvia".
