Greening The Beige: An Arts Minded Eco-Collective

We want YOU! Green meet & greet session - get involved and help green Beijing!

Greening the Beige (GtB) is an innovative, eco-minded art collective dedicated to nurturing awareness on pertinent environmental issues.

Limited resources, excessive waste, desertification, and extinction aren’t subjects restricted to research and science alone.

Constructing meaningful narratives through the medium of art can influence an individual at a level that otherwise couldn’t be reached with the use of charts or figures.

Greening the Beige is a project to connect artists, creative thinkers, environmentalists, eco-responsible schools, organizations, and companies with the public through the medium of art and culture in order to build and strengthen a community of Green Beijingers.

The primary initiative of Greening the Beige is to facilitate community interactive workshops, art installations, demonstrations, and performances that reflect and creatively assess the human impact on the surrounding environment.

Since forming in March 2007, Greening the Beige has received the support of many volunteer groups, schools, and organizations.
