Great movie. Avoid Wanda theater on Chang'an Ave across from Soho--they're renovating, and the theater reeks of paint and carpet glue, plus the A/C is very low, and you have to deal with the thrumming of the arcade off the side of the lobby. None of the theaters here is exactly calm, but East Gate Plaza and Oriental Plaza theaters are at least okay.

Jack Black is great in this movie. And Dustin Hoffman as Master Sifu?! Genius!
Although the story isn't exactly what you would call "original," the all-star cast has developed the plot so well that you'll forget that you already know what's probably going to happen in the end. Not only is it a very funny movie, the visual effects are brilliant. It's a lovely way to spend 2 hours away from the hot Beijing sun.

A just plain great movie - and worth seeing on a big screen and not a bootleg. Visuals are just gorgeous.
