During this sowing April, the Moon River Museum of Contemporary Art is busy preparing their First Annual Moon River Sculpture Festival. The event is organized by Victoria Lu, Director of the Moon River Museum of Contemporary Art, and her team. This outdoor sculpture exhibition will be the highlight of the preparation of activities before the grand opening of the museum. The Moon River Sculpture Festival will launch in May and will be one of the two annually held grand expositions at the Moon River Museum of Contemporary Art. The other event is the Asia Art Festival held in the autumn and it will be the 2008 inaugural exhibition of the Moon River Museum of Contemporary Art.

The Moon River Museum of Contemporary Art has invited many famous Chinese contemporary sculpturors like Bao Pao, Zhan Wang, Xiang Jing, Qu Guangci, Shi Jinsong, Wang Shugang, and Li Hui. The artists loaned their most famous artwork pieces for this show. In addition, twenty artists created new artworks for the festival. These artists include Sui Jianguo, Gao Xiaowu, Ye Fang, Chen Changwei, Chen Ke, Huang Yan, Shi Dayu, Wang Xuan, Luo Zhenhong, Zhang Tianxiao, Li Jie, Shen Chaofang, Wang Xinggang, Yuan Xinggang, Yang Guangnan, Tao Duhan, Li Yongfei, and Xiao Tianyu.
