The Singapore Chamber of Commerce & Industry in China (SingCham) is deeply saddened to learn about the widespread damage caused by the earthquake in Wenchuan of Sichuan on May 12. Our hearts go out to the victims and people of China who have been affected by the disaster, said Ms Dorothy Seet, Chairman, SingCham China.

On behalf of the Singaporean community in China, SingCham pledges an initial donation of RMB 120,000 to the victims of the Sichuan Earthquake this morning.

We urge all members and friends, and the Singaporean community in China to donate generously to the victims.

SingCham will coordinate the donate drive with the Singapore communities in Beijing, Fujian, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Liaoning, Shandong, Shanghai, Sichuan, etc.

We strongly believe that with resilience, the Chinese people will certainly recover from this disaster.

We wish all who are affected a speedy recovery.
