Description -
Instructor Debbie-Lee van Ginkel received her white belt certification as a Nia instructor in Cape Town, South Africa. She draws inspiration from her earlier movement background, which includes modern and contemporary dance, as well as her recent focus on bellydance - an art she discovered and continues to develop here in Beijing. Debbie-Lee's love of dance finds expression in NIA, and it is from this holistic perspective that she approaches her students, engaging them in a uniquely balanced, fusion workout.

NIA stands for Neuromuscular Integrative Action and was born out the American aerobics movement in the 80s. Luckily, the certified instructor from South Africa combines this exercise routine with African beats to get you moving as well as Pilates and yoga moves to cool you down.
