THIS Saturday (June 7) the Beijing Ballroom Dance Club holds it's first BASIC WEST COAST SWING Class from 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm at the Sino-Chu Wine Bar. After the class you can practice your new skills at our regular dance party (ends at 11:30 pm).

The class fee is ony 30 Rmb per person -- half of which will be donated to earthquake relief. There is an additional 30 Rmb ticket you must buy at the door which you can use to purchase food or drink from the Sino-Chu during the evening.

IMPORTANT NOTE: You should dress comfortably for dancing-- but sneakers, shorts and T-shirts are NOT ALLOWED.

WEST COAST SWING is very popular in the U.S. and growing around the world. It can be danced to many kinds of contemporary music, including hip-hop, blues, smooth swing and jazz-swing music.

Our dance club is non-profit and open to all. There are no dues. Our party itself is free, organized by volunteers who love social dancing. At our after-class party we also dance to Waltz, Foxtrot, Lindy Swing, Rumba, ChaCha, Salsa, Bachata, Argentine Tango, Disco-Hustle and much more.

For more information, see our club website at: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BeijingBallroom/ or email us by pressing the "Reply" button to the left.

DIRECTIONS: The Sino-Chu Wine Bar & Restaurant is located at 18 Liangmahe Nanlu (behind the Canadian and Australian embassies). By taxi take the 2nd Ring Road, exit at Dongzhimen and then go east. At the 2nd intersection (at the corner there is a Pizza Hut) turn left (north). At the end of the quiet tree-lined street you will see red and blue lights. This is it. We're on the 2nd Floor. It's a 15-minute walk from the Dongzhimen subway stop. If you have trouble finding the place call the Sino-Chu Wine Bar at 8532 2418.
