Family Program Born in Liaoning, Bo has had a special interest in Chinese traditional handicrafts since he was a child. After a few years as an apprentice with his master, he moved to Beijing in his teenage years and became an art designer in a local craft factory. Although not a Beijinger, Bo devoted all his passion and spare time to learning the traditions and techniques of Old Beijing handicrafts. He finally developed his own style and set up his little studio in 2006. With a dream of revitalizing the old Beijing tradition among the younger generation, Bo is now teaching Chinese Folk Arts in several local middle schools and enjoying the fun of educating teenagers.

Our traditional toy-making class will be held in the courtyard of a lovely tea house. Class first starts with a brief introduction on the story of each traditional toy, and then we will have a chance to play with these toys under Bo’s guidance. Afterwards, we begin our fun, hands-on toy-making class.
