Greening the Beige (GtB) believes that one of the biggest threats to modern society is that there aren’t enough creative solutions to deal with environmental problems.
点废成绿认为缺乏解决环境问题的创意之道是现代社会面临的最大威胁之一。
Issues such as limited resources, excessive waste, desertification, and extinction can be efficiently resolved and creatively addressed through the medium of art and culture.
文化艺术其实能帮助我们形象探讨和有效解决资源匮乏、过度浪费、水土流失和物种灭绝等问题。
Greening the Beige (GtB) is a collective for artists and performers that celebrate eco-minded thinking. The aim of GtB is to foster community awareness regarding eco-positive and responsible city living, while at the same time connect creative thinkers, socially responsible organizations, and other supporters for a "greener" Beijing.
"点废成绿" (GtB) 是由注重环保的艺术家和表演者组成的一个集体，旨在提高公众对环保型都市生活方式的认知度，并在创意思想者、具有社会责任感的团体和其他"绿色北京"支持者之间搭建沟通的桥梁。
Last year GtB held its first event on May 26, 2007, at Trio in the Lido area. The full-day event schedule offered various activities, workshops, and performances with environmentally positive themes that brought together a wide range of artists, musicians, students, experts and community members.
去年，GtB于5月26日在丽都饭店地区的Trio西餐厅举行了首次活动。一整天的日程包罗万象，由各种围绕着环保主题的活动、研讨会和表演组成，吸引了众多志同道合的艺术家、音乐人、学生、专家和社团成员, 社区居民。
In July 2008 GtB will present green events and eco-savvy activities across the city of Beijing for one full week, along easy-access pubic transportation lines. The essential aim of this event is to reflect how "green" Beijing already is and to inspire the city’s residents to get "greener" every day.
GtB将于2008年7月间在北京多处公共交通便利的地点推出为期一周的绿色生态主题活动。今年活动的主旨是见证“绿色北京”，并鼓励所有市民在每天的生活中再多一分绿色心态。
