东北艺术一向以大气厚重著称，时代前行，在中国当代艺术活动如火如荼的今天，新一代的有着学院背景东北年轻艺术家以他们特有的方式，表述着自己对艺术的感知和立场。 “新东北力量”青年艺术家联展，是以2008鲁迅美术学院和中央美术学院的毕业生展为基础，选择了10位年轻艺术家的毕业作品，其中包括油画、雕塑、摄影、漆画和综合媒材。内容和形式多元而鲜活，既有传承又有创新，在一定程度上代表了源自东北的艺术新生力量。他们以对艺术虔诚的心境，各自独立的态度关注着艺术自身的问题，用智慧探索解决之道。从他们的作品中我们可以阅读到青涩生猛情绪，宣泄和透露着他们迷惑、惶恐、怀旧、孤僻、暴力、幽默和力量。语境从容坚定，场域雄浑大气，透射出异于其它地域的气息和光辉。

Art in north east China is famous for its massiness and grandness. As time is going forward, in these days of the contemporary art performing like a raging fire, the new generation of northeastern young artist who have academy background express their art apperception and standpoint in their own manner. New Northeastern Power, the young artists’ group exhibition is based of Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts and Central Academy of Fine Arts Graduate exhibition; choose young artists’ works, including oil painting, sculpture, photography, lacquer art and mixed media. The content and modality are multiple and fresh, both inherited and created. In a certain extent, they stand for the fresh art power. They have a pious heart for art, with an independent attitude concern the issues of art itself, and explore the solutions with wisdom. From their works, we can read a young and live emotion, which abreact and disclose their puzzlement, fear, nostalgia, withdrawnness, violence, humor and strength. The context is leisurely and firm, the field is powerful and grand, transmit different tinge and blaze than others. As Buddhism says, they are having the spiritual practice and experience on the way of art. We look forward to these young artists would bear fruit.
