For the month of October, OT Lounge is collaborating with Yering Station wines from Australia's Yarra Valley in offering some great wine deals alongside our eclectic live sampling of Beijing's emerging jazz scene. This spin-off ensemble of SambAsia Beijing makes its premier at OT Lounge in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the birth of Bossa Nova in Rio de Janeiro. Girassol ("sunflower" in Portuguese) will perform a repertoire reflective of the Bossa Nova tradition (Bonfa, Jobim, Gilberto, Vinicius de Morais etc) and the contemporary extension thereof with the likes of Maria Rita et al. Kamila Nasr - vocals; Jimmy Biala - percussion; Christophe Lier - piano; Hu Hao- double bass.
