This spin-off ensemble of SambAsia Beijing makes its premier at OT Lounge in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the birth of Bossa Nova in Rio de Janeiro. Girassol ("sunflower" in Portuguese) will perform a repertoire reflective of the Bossa Nova tradition (Bonfa, Jobim, Gilberto, Vinicius de Morais etc) and the contemporary extension thereof with the likes of Maria Rita et al. Kamila Nasr - vocals; Jimmy Biala - percussion; Christophe Lier - piano; Hu Hao- double bass.
